It depends on how the DVD is marketed. I usually estimate between 4 and 6 months unless there is a specific reason for the DVD to be released sonner or later.

Why can't they start at the same time ?
I mean: When the movie comes to the Big Screen,
why can't we have it on DVD at the same time ! Because
some people do not like going to the movie-theaters,
or they have no time, because they are working in the late shift...
